Tommy Bahama's

After we checked out we headed to eat a late lunch at Tommy Bahama... i knew he made clothes but did not know he cooked too... but it was really good... pricey but good! :)
Who knew umbrella made drinks so much fun... sweet tea and a umbrella!
No near as impressed??? The Newlyweds... Mr. Randy and Mrs. Cathy were down there too... as my kids say Randy is the "tea man" b.c he works for Red Diamond! :) Fun at the fountains!
They had these fountians out back of the resturant... the kids loved them!
jackson "trying" not to get wet... ha!
he was soaked when we left!
Who knew they made bread in the shape of crowns???
queen of the bread!
and king of the bread!
And there you have it...our beach adventure is over... sad sad!
Jackson and Grandaddy headed back in the big ole truck and me, mom, brylee, and richard headed to the outlets for some back to school shopping and then we left about 5:00 headed
home.
It was a fun trip! I highly recommend the place we stayed, all the places we ate, it was truly a great trip! I can't wait til next year... i think we might go kidless next time... but shhh don't tell them! We had fun with them but I would love to have stayed out later and longer at Baytowne b.c that place was SOOO FUN!
Caught up for now... headed to the lake tomorrow... one last trip for the kids before school starts!!! For some reason we just can't stay home! :)
Happy Weekend!

Last Day of Beach Fun!

Wednesday was our last day at the beach. Thankfully due to meeting that morning (which I did not have to attend :) we got late check outs... we did not have to be out until 1:00... which was so nice! So we all headed back to the beach! I will say I have NEVER seen the beach so crowded... it was four deep... meaning their were four rows of chairs, tents, etc... it was CRAZY... but FUN! this is what brylee does when i call her name... turns and smiles... do you think i take too many pictures or what? such a little m-e-s-s mess! This float was the best 10.00 ever spent.... they played and road in this thing for hours!!!!!
brylee riding the boat!
both in the boat... they would sit/lay in it and daddy would take them out and they would ride the waves back in... if they did that once they did it 100 times! So FUN!

Lucky Snapper!

Tuesday night mom and dad had another dinner and entertainment thing to go to so we were going to go to Baytowne again but it was pouring down rain and so we knew we could not walk in the rain so we decided to take the car and go to Destin to eat. Apparently us and everyone else too. We did not wait one minute for a table in Baytowne either night but no so much in Destin. Hour and half wait at Fudpuckers, hour wait at AJ's, so the winner was 30 minutes at Lucky Snapper. It was good!
Another one man band for my kids to dance too... the love them some music and dancing! dancing the night away! Sissy was introduced to a Shirley Temple while we were there. She thought she was something else with her little drink with her little umbrella in it! :)
mommy and jay-man before....
he was out... he laid his head in my lap waiting on the food and fell asleep...
if you know jackson you know that NEVER happens... LOUD music and all!
I guess that is what riding and jumping waves for 2 hours will do to you! :)

More Beach and Ocean Fun!

Tuesday was the show in the afternoon but it rained that morning so while I was at the show richard took the kids to the beach again and I met them over when I was done!
jumping waves... love this picture
brylee showing off her shells fun in the boat riding in the waves
LOVES looking for shells!
Beach babes for sure!!!!

Cabos and Baytowne Wharf again...

At night my parents would go to the dinners and the entertainment that were provided for by AGA and we would head on down to Baytowne Wharf for dinner and fun! No one get to leave without pictures on the porch... not even the parentals... don't they look cute!
jackson and brylee nightly porch picture!
they wanted another picture on the BIG chair! Monday Night this is where we ate Cabos! It was really good! It also had a playground... always a plus!!!!!
having fun on the playground! This little guy was good too.
We enjoyed sitting outside listening to him sing,
watching the kids play, and eating!
I had to take a picture of this... how fun! People would rent golf carts or owners had their own and they would ride them to Baytowne at night... they had golf cart parking (no car parking)... it was cool!
After dinner they had a magic show that we took the kids to watch! The weather was so nice... richard and i enjoyed sitting on the grass and the kids enjoyed the magic show. They even got to go up there for one of the acts... where they magician made snow! They loved it! :)
They also had fun driving these little boats they had. Jackson was too serious for a picture!
But not brylee... all smiles while she is driving!
We ended the evening with ice cream from an old soda shop... Hartell's
It was really good... the kids had Sponge Bob Ice cream
and we split a hot fudge sundae!
silly jackson
brylee all smiles...

It was another fun night!

Fun In The Sun!

Monday we had to set up for the show so richard took the kids to the beach and then I met him over there once I was finished with setting up. The kids LOVE the beach. Which is a new thing this year. In the past they were more pool people but they love going to the ocean and jumping the waves, playing in the sand, and finding sea shells.
the beach was gorgeous! the water was so clear, clean, no sea weed, so nice! jackson give the waves a thumbs up!
brylee playing in the water
love her, such a cutie!

Acme Oyster House and Baytowne Wharf

We went to San Destin. Which it has been about 5 years since I have even been to Destin and WOW! that beach is GORGEOUS!!! It makes me not want to go anywhere else... the water and sand were BEAUTIFUL! We stayed at The San Destin Beach and Golf Resort. Which by the way is HUGE if you have never been there. There is about 20 different places you can stay. We stayed at The Grande which was absolutely beautiful itself. Our two bedroom condo was bigger than mine and richards two bedroom apartment we had when we were first married. I was in ah the whole time. I just kept thinking... if only I was RICH.... i could live a life with bellhops to carry my luggage around for me... we did not touch our luggage the whole time, a tram that I called and before I got downstairs it was waiting to take me to the beach and dropping me off and picking me back up whenever, about 20 different restaurants out my back door, and about 10 thousand kids and activities for the kids to do. It was truly amazing! Now don't get me wrong I could not afford to go on a vacation and stay in a place like this all the time... you know when you go with a company and a state convention they don't put you in the slums... they wine and dine you for sure... and I must say we / i enjoyed living the life of luxury and being wined and dined for 4 days! It will spoil you for sure! Thanks to Reese, the parentals, and AGA! :) Sunday Night we headed to Baytowne Wharf to eat at The Acme Oyster House. The food was really good... and of course no outing goes without pictures on the porch before leaving!

After dinner we walked around Baytowne Wharf and sat and enjoyed the band playing. Brylee and Jackson got to go on stage and dance with the band during a song!
My baby girl loves her some dancing!
Brylee, GoGo, Jackson, and Grandaddy!
Jackson got to ride the zip line across the lake and back. He LOVED it!!! Here he is ready to go! Brylee did the trampoline thing but I missed her b.c i was in line with jackson!
There he goes....
I know terrible picture but the best I could get!
