it's all over for jackson man...

well tomorrow is it for the j-man... he wraps up first grade tomorrow with a pj/movie day... so we went a head and took our end of the year picture... (excuse the sun and shadows all over his face... not the most optimal picture spot but it had to be b.c the front steps is where we take school pics) tonight jackson also had his spring choir "concert" at church...i only got a picture of the "boy singers" but there were girls on the other side too... He also had RA (royal ambassador) recognition tonight too... he received several patches to go one his vest... missions, camp out, sports, and ra racer badges... he loves him some RA's wonder how long it will take me to get those badges on there??? they are not iron on you have to sew them on... and i can't sew... tonight we had to safety pin his RA badge on the front and we have only had for 6 months... mom of the year for sure! :)

short and sweet... got way too much laundry and packing to do... pretty sure it is going to be a late one tonight!

beach food....

Hello Blog World... got a question... need some help???

Every time we go to the beach we eat at the same ole same ole places... which is good to have your old favorites... but we are looking for some "new" places to eat...

We usually eat at The Pirate Ship (which I think i read burned), Captain Anderson's, and The Boatyard.... does any one have any suggestions in Panama City Beach???

We are up for anything just as long at it is kid friendly... which it is the beach so most places are...

happy SUN day...

ok so was it me or did summer just show up this weekend in full force... we went from days in the low 80's to BAM... 97 degrees... no i am not complaining b.c we had such a cold winter so I am glad the warmer weather it here but WOW! i don't think i was prepared for how hot it was going to be outside... sunday daddy had to go to school for a few minutes b.c he was off monday so the kids took their bikes to ride around the school... they love it b.c it is so flat. They also played on the playground... so i played with my camera trying to put to use some of the things i learned a few weeks ago about my camera... here are a few pictures of the kids playing... still have more to learn... but i had fun playing...

super saturday...

after bbtn pictures saturday morning (fall is really cute... get excited girls) and our last baseball game... richard and I got to have a night out with some adult without kids... what a novel idea! :) richard and i helped give a couples baby shower for my sweet friend sherry (far right in picture... yes i know... you can't even see her baby belly in the picture... lets just say husband can't take very good pictures and i had my big zoom lens on from being at the ball park and he was too close...)

anyway we had a great time hanging out with friends we have not seen in a while and we can't wait to meet baby sumners and see whether it is a baby boy or a sweet baby girl... i am thinking girl... but we will have to wait a few more weeks to see! congrats sherry and tanner

water balloon fight....

during the team party... leisha and i brought water balloons for the kids to throw at each other and at the coaches during the party... they had a blast... running around throwing water balloons at each other... i did not get that many picture b.c it takes 2 days to blow up water balloons and about 2 seconds for them be all gone... but it was fun while it lasted...

i love jackson's face...launching them at someone...brylee got in on the fun too, of course she wore her bathing suit... not getting those wet...

you can tell G has a little sister... being so nice just standing there and letting brylee pop a balloon on his head... little did she know that bucket had water in it and he just let her pop the balloon on his head and then poured water on her! :)

we had a great baseball season and i am sad it is over... we are going to miss our baseball friends!

Baseball Team Party...

we just partied all day friday... we had jackson's baseball team party friday night too! we all went to a local park and the kids all ran and played and the parents enjoyed watching them play (something other than baseball) and talking...

friday jackson and his class had their end of the year party... we had a pizza and popsicle party... jackson and his class did a readers theatre for the parents and he was a pirate... check out the pirate on his hat... pretty good little pirate... i love the eye patch :)

jackson has had a great teacher... we love us some mrs. pruitt and we have been so blessed to have her as our teacher... she has taught jackson so much...look out second grade... he comes the motley crew..jackson and some of his first grade buddies...

it is all coming to an end....

well it just seems like yesterday when i wrote this post and yet it is "closing time" again... school, RA's mission friends and choir at church, ball and all the other activities that have kept us so busy are coming to an end and just as the change was welcomed in august... this change in may is welcomed as well... i am ready to "sleep" a little later, no homework, and just enjoy the lazy days of summer... today was brylee's class party... her last day is actually friday but i look her end the year picture today we always take a first day and last day picture every year... it is fun to see the change... click here for her first day of school picture... (scroll down to the bottom on that post) she looks like such a baby girl... :) We have loved having mrs. dillard... she has taught brylee so much and we appreciate her so much. our class gave her a visa gift card but i wanted brylee to give her a little something extra so we gave her a notepad too...

brylee and her friends... she has enjoyed making new friends this year and will miss many of her friends from school next year b.c they are all going to different schools... silly girls...

tonight was also the last night for wednesday night mission friends and choir for this year... the children's choir sang during the worship service tonight... the whole crew singing...

Chop, Chop

well here is the ole hair cut... i got 4 1/2 inches cut off last friday and i felt like a new person... i think people thought it was going to be shorter but i just don't think people realized HOW LONG it really was... b.c if you saw me in the last month past noon it was probably on top of my head b.c it was driving me cr-a-zee... the new doo is just in time for summer... 7 days and counting and we are BEACH BOUND for a week... bring it on summer... we are READY for you!!!!!

last week brylee's class went to the montgomery zoo... we have never been to the montgomery zoo before... it was a nice change to the birmingham zoo... b.c they actually had animals and the animals actually looked alive... :) brylee and her bff bella

lemonade... get your lemonade

brylee and i came home for the birthday party to find this little guy at the end of the driveway with a lemonade stand set up.... i just cracked up laughing... richard said he did it all by himself... made the lemonade (don't you know that was tasty), got the cups, hauled the chair down, and made a sign and hung it on the mailbox... however his little stand did not last long seeing as we don't live on a very busy road; he quickly lost interest; but thank goodness our sweet "empty nester" neighbors who live 2 doors down were out working in their yard and came and bought some lemonade from him... he was yelling out "get your lemonade... buy one get one free" it brought back childhood memories for me... i remember me and my friends setting up kool-aid stands... ha! :) happy saturday... be back soon with more updates and hair cut pictures... i got my hair CHOPPED 4 1/2 inches... from my other camera... that i let my parents barrow tonight... bet those are going to be some great pictures... seeing as she called me asking me how to turn it on, what button to push, and how to zoom in and out... oh my!

Tea for two (or more)...

today brylee's friend bella had a tea party birthday party... she enjoyed dressing up and having "tea" aka pink lemonade with all her friends from school...

sipping tea...have tea and talkin'brylee and her friend lily gi some how missed her and bella and we could not seem to get the girls together for a group picture either... oh well... the moms and daughters enjoyed tea time!

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great mother's day and I hope did as well! We went to eat lunch with my family at Stone's Throw in Mt. Laurel. It was so good... i love their shrimp and grits and bread and butter... and the kids got the mac and cheese... and it was Delicious too!

GoGo and Grandaddy and the kiddies... and last but not least... here comes the tickle monster...just for fun... me, mom, and the banshees...

I was blessed with some of the sweetest hand print flowers and handwritten cards and books that a momma could ask for. I love to see what they write and the answers to their questions... truly a treasure to keep!

I also got one of these necklaces... it has not come in yet but that was totally my fault... i told richard i would handle it b.c i wanted it a certain way and i handled about 3 days to late but oh well it is worth the wait should be here this week and i will post pictures then!

you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear how much i love you, please don't take my sunshine away! Sunday was "yellow day" b.c it is mother's day and I get to pick what everyone wears :) and no one got to complain... and we even took some pictures before lunch and no one could complain or their would be no ice cream after lunch... i love days like this... but you know what I love the three folks in the picture with me even more! :)

ps- would you believe that brylee look the picture of me and richard... i am shocked... check out her aperture (blurring background... trees) i think she might need to teach me! :)
