Brylee's 6th Birthday Party... A Candy Party!

This past weekend we had Brylee's 6th birthday party at our house! We had a painting party with a candy theme.

Here is what her invitation looked like...

everything was done in turquoise, pink and white...

even her clothes... :)

We had a great time planning it, decorating for it, and of course at the actual party!

Pink and Turquoise Candy Table

We had a pink and turquoise candy table filled with all things pink, white, and turquoise for the party girls to choose from. I also made small pink tissue pom poms and one large turquoise pom pom to hang above the table.

we had large pink marshmallows...

large turquoise gum balls, pink rock candy suckers, and pink snowball cakes...

i also made the little toppers for the pink snowballs and the cupcakes...

good and plenty pink and white candy with turquoise rock candy suckers

cake pops... don't look too close... they were the death of me..

might have been b.c it was mid night while i was making them...

or could have been the "free candy melts" i was using...

none the less they are there and it might be a while before i make them again..

i love how the recipe says EASY... i don't know that i agree to much with that... ummm

say sugar... i mean cheese...

i loved the candy table... it was probably my favorite part... my mom and i had a great time searching for all the candy... yes we started in july or august i think... but it was so fun... i about lost my mind setting it all up but thankfully i have a mom who can see the big picture and did a great job placing all the candy around the table. we are a great team... i am type A and stress about everything being perfect and she is Type Z and just "throws it all together" and makes it look great.... thankfully type A and type Z make a great team! :)

Pink and Turquoise Birthday Party Table

I turned our kitchen into a pink and turquoise party table and this is where the girls sat to watch brylee open presents and eat all their cupcakes, ice cream, and candy...

i made small tissue pom poms and set the table with all things pink and turquoise

i made a birthday banner using scrapbook paper, ribbon, and card board letters...

each girl had a pink and turquoise place setting with a foam name card to take home

the table is all set for 8 fun girls...

and here they are solving the worlds problems getting all sugared up!

Painting Party...

We transformed our den in Brylee's Art Studio all set with tables, stools, easel's, canvas, paints and brushes. My BFF since 5 years old co owns a painting company however she was out of town but her precious partner came and did all the instructing for the girls. She was precious and was so good with the girls... she sounds and acts just like Elise. The girls did great and I think all of us moms were so impressed with their masterpieces. I can't wait to hang brylee's in her room!

A few decoration in the "art studio"...

i made candy balloon weights from salt cylinders wrapped in tissue paper and cellophane and tied them with ribbons on the ends to make them look like wrapped pieces of candy...

Party Girls and Presents....

Brylee had a blast with all her friends at her party...

she has the sweetest and cutest group of little friends....

brylee, carsyn, coleigh, avery, adason, heidi, and abbie

her friend ashleigh left before the group picture...

but at least i have one of her and the birthday girl enjoying some candy!

if there was an award given for the person with the most excitement opening presents brylee would for sure get it... she cracks me up with all her expressions and excitement...

go go, kk, and nannie came to join in on the birthday fun... i am sure it will take them a few days to recover from 8 squeally little girls but i know they enjoyed all the birthday fun...
