New Years Eve....

New Years Eve we went to The Franklin's for our annual New Years Eve Bash! The girls enjoyed sitting inside talking and watching the fireworks from afar, the guys watched football and shot fireworks, and all the kids ran around and played. Everyone had a great time!

(she is an exchange student from Norway) We had a great time ringing in the new year with great friends!

Family Fun the Week After Christmas...

Is it me or is the week after Christmas such a let down??? The week before Christmas is full of excitement filled with parties, presents, shopping, and celebrating and then all of a sudden it is all over just like that. Maybe it is just me?

To help us slowly "detox" from all the Christmas celebrating we planned a family fun activity to do each day or night during that week to keep us occupied. It is also a great time for us to just go and do as a family b.c during the "year" we are split up a lot going to practices, church activities, games, parties etc! We truly enjoyed our week of family fun!

Monday: We went to Tree Top and played lots of video games, won lots of tickets, and come home with lots of treasures aka junk! :) (picture disclaimer... these are taken with my "little" camera... which is explains why they are pitiful)

Tuesday: It was movie night! We split up and saw 2 different movies! Jackson and Daddy went to see Yogi Bear and Jackson loved it... he said it was so funny! Daddy said he laughed out loud many times!

Brylee and I invited GoGo to go see Tangled with us! We loved it!!!!! I think it might be my favorite disney movie. Brylee was a little scared of the "mean mama" but she loved all the other parts... it was such a good movie!

Wednesday: We had to go to the doctor because Jackson and Brylee had a terrible cough and low and behold they both had walking pneumonia. We were close to GoGo's office so we met her for lunch and Grandaddy joined us. That was actually one of the things the kids wanted to do during Christmas break.

We had a few minutes to waste before we met GoGo for lunch so we took the kids to the Peanut Depot downtown and they were OUT of peanuts.... how can the peanut depot be out of peanuts!!!! So we just had to take a few pictures and head on to meet GoGo!

Thursday: We went to Zoo Light Safari to see all the Christmas Lights! We had a great time looking at all the lights... they had some really pretty ones! :) (thanks scott and susie for the tickets)

We had a great week spending time as a family and doing fun activities together!

Christmas Day at The Farm....

After Christmas at GoGo and Grandaddy's.... we ate lunch and all rested and a few of us got a cat nap or two and others played with all their presents! We then went to my uncle's house on the farm and had Christmas with my dad's side of the family! I some how only got 3 pictures.... oh well we had a great time!

she loved playing school with her new clipboard too!We had a great Christmas spending it with all our family. We do ALOT of running and had 5 different Christmas celebrations in a matter of a few days and we always end all the festivities with 2 tired, cranky, and "spoiled" kiddos... but i would not have it any other way!

Christmas Day at GoGo and Grandaddy's!

After Santa Claus came and all the grandparents came to see what Santa brought we had breakfast at our house then we headed over to GoGo and Grandaddy's and do Christmas with them!

It is the small things in life when you are 6!

Jackson got a super cool big ole R/C car... brylee got some new dishes and cooking stuff for her kitchen...

over the years she has lost most of hers so she is excited to have new cooking stuff...

she will soon have place mats and chair cushions to match... she loved it!

GoGo set up an amazing race for the J and B to do with clues and

challenges so they could find their big present!

The first clue told them to go to the kitchen...the kitchen clue told them to eat a piece of cheese... then it sent them to find santa in the den... santa's clue told them they had to hula hoop to get their next clue...

(the funny part is that they totally missed that the hula hoop was actually a present

and jackson is a very good hula hooper... who knew???)after the ho la hooped they got a clue that sent them back to the tree to open a present...

Jackson was so excited he has really been wanting to go camping....

We had a great Christmas at GoGo and Grandaddy's! The kids got more presents that the law should allow and mommy and daddy racked up in the clothes department too! We are very blessed for sure! Thank you GoGo and Grandaddy!

they had to unwrap 4 different things...still unwrapping....I think Jackson might have a clue... he looks mighty excited... AN IPOD TOUCH for Jackson

A "REAL PINK CAMERA" for Brylee... They were so excited... Santa did a great job!I guess Santa must have thought Jackson and Brylee had been good little boy and girl this year because he gave them everything they ask for and a few surprises too!

**** I have to tell a funny story on Brylee... she came in and saw all the presents Santa had wrapped (this was the first year Santa wrapped everything) and she looked at all the boxes and I think she was a little "worried" that Santa might have gotten her list mixed up with someone else's because she looked at Richard and I and said "I did not ask Santa for all these big presents.... none of those boxes look like a pink camera"... i think she was sweating it out... but thankfully the jolly old guy had just out smarted her and really did get her a pink camera"! We laughed so hard!
