daddy gave her a special corsage to wear on her "first date"...
i just love stuff like this... so sweet
i hope she always wants her daddy as "her date"jackson and i went to eat mexican with several other moms and sons... we had a fun time too! :)

brylee has enjoyed cheering and she can't wait until football season!jackson had his last regular season basketball game yesterday...
they had not won a game yet and they won yesterday...
he was so excited!!!!!
the place went wild when he spot from the 3 point line and scored and then the buzzer went off...
they were going to win either way but ending on a play like that was awesome for him..."the governor" (that is his nickname on the court/field) dribbling down the court...

RP update, reports, and pictures...

happy thursday... how about this weather we have been having this week... oh me oh my it has been wonderful... i even broke out the flip flops... whoop whoop! :) i sure am going to be sad when it turns cold again... now i am really ready for spring! :) Update on RP: Today we went to meet with the cardiologist... we had a great time laughing at ourselves in the waiting room... just so you know we were BY FAR the youngest people in the waiting room but like 30 years... i know the doctors and nurses were glad to see someone that could hear their name being called... ha! :) Anyway, the doctor was great, super nice guy, gave us some much needed peace about the whole situation which was a nice feeling. Again, we heard from the dr. that he did not feel like he had any heart attack conditions and he doesn't really think his BP is really an issue either but not a 100% sure yet. He wants him to monitor is blood pressure at home and keep a log... he is thinking we might have a little "white coat syndrome" going on... meaning his BP is elevated because he is at the drs. office. Let's hope that is the case! He is going in for a stress test and an ultra sound tomorrow morning (friday)... thanks to a cancellation just to make sure everything is truly ok. We will go back to the dr. in 2 weeks for those results. He also gave him a reflux medication to take for these two weeks to see if that might help with the pain he was having (which he has not had since the episode). Of course he told him he needed to exercises and watch what he ate. I really think he is going to be just fine and that we really don't have anything to worry about but it is better to be safe than sorry! I would like him to stay around a little longer! Thanks again for all the prayers, emails etc! We truly appreciate it! School Project: we all survived and lived to tell about our first school report and puppet....
Old Timey Picture: the middle school did a picture fundraiser... i am super proud of myself... i walked out of there with my 10 dollar 8x1o and did not buy any more... although i wanted to i resisted... since they were a little pricey! but i think it turned out cute! :) TGIF... hope you all have a great weekend!

Brylee's Valentine's Party

Brylee's class made Sweetheart Sundaes as their valentine special snack today and since i am her room mom i went to help! :) I must say out of all the class parties i have done this one was by far the best as far as food and the kids ate it the most and it was was super easy too! We put a scoop of vanilla and strawberry ice cream in a bowl and the we gave them a choice of strawberries, cool whip, sprinkles, and cherries for toppings...most all the kids came back for seconds... they all loved it and i was shocked!
My Little Sweetheart with her Sundae!
Holli, Brylee, and Erin
Brylee and her friend Colin aka Romeo... I guess that makes brylee juliet! ha! :)
Brylee is sitting at a table with all boys... i was shocked b.c she is all into this "boy trapped" thing... if i leave her with rp and jp she says... oh great i am "boy trapped".... whatever that is... thank you kindergarten... so i ask her teacher about it and she said she loves it over their with the boys and "she just gets them"... whatever that means... i guess she bosses them around and they listen... ha!:) but i will say it was a table full of sweet good little boys!!! :)

More Basketball and Cheerleading...

we are still spending our saturday mornings on the hardwood watching brylee cheer and jackson play basketball... thankfully we are almost done... just in time for baseball to be in full swing.... but i am ready for it basketball is not my favorite that is for sure...
Brylee lovin her some bang bang choo choo train....
get it, get it, get it... :)
calling her cheer loud and proud...
the half time cheer...
their new favorite one...
my back aches,
my belts to tight,
my hips shake from left to right
muum, muum, gowah
muum, muum, gowah
hornets got that soul power...

i don't get many pictures of jackson... basketball players aren't really still... so most of them are a blur... :)

However, Jackson did have a special guest at his game this week... his precious teacher mrs joseph came to see him play and he was beyond excited... he is smitten by her for sure... and like my dad said... i think she has jackson's number... he is all about some mrs joesph! :) and she is wonderful... he has had the best year he has ever had and it is all thanks to her... she is great with boys... she just gets them... i wish we could have her every year! :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy got a white birthday!
Thursday was daddy's birthday...
we celebrated at home with dinner and dessert...
Richard is not a huge cake fan but one of his favorite desserts is banana pudding so i made Paula Dean's This Ain't Yo Mamma's Banana Puddin' for his birthday "cake" and oh my it was so good... it has chess man cookies on the bottom and top instead of nila wafers... it was a hit for sure...
Happy Birthday Daddy!
We Love You!!!

Snow 2011

well i guess the weathermen were right after all... we did get some SNOW! When the kids woke up Thursday morning they were so excited about the snow but so dissappointed that we were not missing school or going in late so they could play in it... so what does a nice mommy do... she lets them stay home, play in the snow, and then i checked them in. i will say it was not very good snow to "play in" we could not get it to make a snowball or snowman but they still had fun playing it it...
Happy Snow Day!

Lookie, Lookie, Lookie...

what my neighbor let me barrow!!!!
I am so excited that i have treadmill at home and i don't have to run outside in the freezing cold or rain or snow and I don't have to go to the gym... although going to the gym and using their shower, bathroom products, and warm towels and then "throwing them in the hole for someone else to wash" is nice (i heart 119) but it just adds another hour to my running so having a treadmill here just makes things a little easier!
I am still running and it has almost been a month...i am so proud of my self... i ran another 5 miles last sunday... and this weekend i am moving up to 6 miles... gulp! I got to run the 5 miles with my sweet running buddies and it is so nice to run with someone else even though i could not keep up with them... they run a lot faster than me but i am working on that... the treadmill is helping me with my pace... I was running on the treadmill at about a 4.5 (speed) and wondering why it was "taking me so long" ... remember i have no idea what i am doing... :) and then i found out i needed to be running at about a 6... well that makes a bit of a difference so i have been TRYING to run on a 6.... of course tuesday was 4 miles and i just cracked the ole treadmill right on up to 6... well that was probably was not the best idea... i was about to die so i had to move it back down.... and then my dear ole hubby says why don't you GRADUALLY move up to a 6... oh yeah well that might be better... you know me and my no clue self and i am a 0 to 100 person too... there are no baby steps in my world! :)
Update on Richard:
* First of all, I am overwhelmed at how much all of (you) our sweet friends and family care so much for us. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about all the calls, emails, texts, (and comments) and people just seeing us out asking and checking on him and telling us ya'll have been praying for us. It really means a lot to both of us that each of you have shown so much concern... we greatly appreciate it! Thank you and keep those prayers coming! :)
*I don't really have much to report except that he has a drs. appointment next thurs ( a week from tomorrow) with the cardiologist... that was the first apt i could get when i called monday... gezz do we really have to wait 10 LONG days before we know something??? So if you remember say a little prayer for us next Thursday morning... even though i really don't think we are going to know anything that day either... probably going to have to wait until after the stress test before we really know something but we will see! :)
Happy Hump Day!!!! We are expecting some SNOW tonight... and guess what we have no milk or bread because i think the weather men are going to be WRONG again... i guess we will have to wait and see! :)

Fancy Nancy Party!

Brylee's friend Abbie had a Fancy Nancy Birthday Party at Mae Dolls in Crestline Village! So we found all our fancy nancy attire and accessories and got all dressed up for the party!
Here is "Fancy Brylee" :)
At the party they made little stuffed animals aka posh pets and took them to "the nursery" and fixed them all up! Then they all did a little "fashion show" up and down the run way... one of the girls was ask to do a cheer so some of the other cheerleaders went up their to do the cheer bang bang choo choo train! all the fancy nancy's and their posh pets...
then they went into the party room and had cupcakes, candy and pink lemonade...
the party was a cute idea and i think the girls had fun for the most part but the girl in charge is not very kid friendly... she seems to rush the girls through every activity and it was just all about what she wanted to do... when they were eating she would say hurry up and one of the girls wanted to keep her opened sucker and she would not let her... who can finish a sucker in 10 minutes while eating a cupcake, ice cream, and drinking lemonade. Then she would not let abbie open her present in the party room... apparently it says it on their website that there is no time for presents... i have never been to a party place that doesn't give you time for presents... she simply said "no sorry your party time is up... you only get an hour"... so we had to go outside and open presents on the curb and it was a little chilly in the shade too! Also you pay for the number of kids that you make the party reservation for... you better hope they come b.c you pay even if they don't and you don't get to make the extra stuffed animals... b.c there is not time! :) I know I act like i paid for the party but i was just really disappointed in the place b.c i heard how cute it was and the idea was really cute! :)
The owner told us that she was selling the place and the new owners were taking over this month maybe they will be a little more friendly! ;)
I would say if you are thinking about planning a party there... ask a bunch of questions and make sure you are happy with what you get! :)
