Field of Dreams for the Fence Rattlaz....

Last Sunday we had Jackson's All Star team party at the Barons. His team got to "meet" the players, go out with their positions for the national anthem, and get some autographs too! Jackson (and his team too) loved every minute of it! :) they also had a pizza and cake party, got trophies, and got to jump in the little bounce house village... it was a lot of fun!
jackson and brylee got ask to do one of the "games" in between innings... they has to put on a baseball uniform and run back... jackson even went slow and he still won...at the end of the game they let the kids come on the field and run the bases... they thought that was cool too... even brylee ran... :0 We had a great time... it was a great little party!

BBQ Bunko...

i hosted bunko at my house this month for our neighborhood bunko group... i did a bbq/red, white, and blue theme... several of these things i found on pinterest... are you addicted yet??? oh me oh my i try not to get on it b.c i know when i do there goes 3 hours... it has a zillion ideas for anything under the sun... it is so cool... check it out if you have not... well maybe it is a time waster for sure... consider yourself warned! :) I made patriotic fruit pizza... i saw this on pinterest as a picture and then goggled the recipe... it was good... sweet but good! my father in law smoked me a boston butt and my honey made his families secret family bbq sauce recipe... they were both so good... i found this little cuties on pinterest too... they were really cute when the whip cream was not running like in my picture... then i made corn dip and how cute are these chips... who knew??? red white and blue chips... thank you world market... we had a great time playing bunko as always... we were a few short so brylee and her friend mallee got to play... they did so good and if we had paid for them mallee would have won most wins and brylee would have won most bunkos... now they are going to want to come every time... we usually don't let them come but summer was a little more relaxed! :)

A Weekend at the Lake....

The first weekend we did not have baseball we all headed to the lake... we could not wait... it was almost like we were going on vacation since we had not been all summer... we started off our fun friday morning... jackson could not wait to ride on his new tube and brylee was super excited to ride with him... they rode the tube behind the pontoon boat... well we have reached the point in their lives where tubing behind the pontoon boat is not all that anymore... it was not fast enough and we could not get them outside the wake so jackson decided he would have his own adventure.... standing up... really???i think brylee's face tells it all... i love this picture! we rode over to see the damage that the tornado caused... it was so sad all these houses and piers were just destroyed... they have already started building back...
The BIGGEST deal this weekend was that i let the kids take off their life jackets and jump off the pier... the water was down and i could touch the bottom.. and we had a LONG talk about how dangerous it was and we had to be with them.... we have NEVER let them take them in the eight years they have been going to the lake... they loved being able to jump in! chill-axin...as you can see we made them put their jackets back on...friday night we went to eat at oscar's... yummy
one of my favorite places to eat...
they have THE BEST cheese balls as an appetizer...jackson man skied and got up the first time...we took our annual "fourth of july boat picture"...i loved hanging out with my babies at the lake...scott and shirley came down too....
or should i say the human jungle jim...daddy pulled the kiddos on the tube behind the sea doo and that was way more fun...
i love their faces...solving the worlds problems... we had a great weekend...
we can't wait to go back!!!!
Summer is just slipping aaaaa---wwww---aaaa---yyyy!!!!!!

baseball state tournament; 4th of july...

well baseball has {finally} come to an end... it is bitter sweet i will say... i am not going to miss the long practices every night, being at the ball park all weekend for last 5 weekends, melting in the hot sun, or the ball park food... but i will miss watching my little man and his team play ball, the parents who have become like family this last month, and of course watching them WIN!
We started the State Tournament Saturday morning and played a game everyday until last night. It was a tough loss... we lost to a team that we have played and beat about 4 times before... that stinks... but our boys fought hard but sometimes you just can't pull out a win! It did not help that we got to the park at 5:00 and were in a rain delay for several hours and did not start playing until about 10:30 last night... bless those boys heart it was so late but they played hard like it was no big deal!
My baby girl came to watch the first game and then she went to the lake with Granny and Pap Pap and stayed all weekend having a good ole time playing with her cousins... she did not come home until about 5:30 last night... i missed her and i am glad she is back... she is one tired little girl! as a matter of fact she fell asleep in my arms shortly after the game started and slept through the whole game... cheering and all... God love her!
We played a game on July 4th and then came to our house and cooked out and then went to watch the fireworks... someone told me a place closer to our house that was "good" to watch the fireworks so we went there and you could "SEE" the fireworks but that was it... it was not worth staying close to home to see them... we ended up leaving before they were over b.c Jackson said "you can't even hear the boom and that is the best part" :) Thankfully we had watch fireworks the night before that were good! We missed our baby girl!

After the game last night our team got medals... we placed 5th in the state which is nothing to be ashamed of... our boys have a lot to be proud of... they worked hard...Fence Rattlaz!!!!! Jackson man... aka da governor... we are so proud of you... you played hard, gave great effort, cheered your teammates on... you are always the first to say a kind word to a teammate who made an error and you play with the highest amount of class and sportsmanship... nothing makes your mommy's heart swell up more than when you go up to the other team that beat you and tell them what a great game they played and good luck... jackson we are proud to call you are little ball player.... i can't wait to see the plans God has for you both on and off the field! today is our first {official} day of summer... we have big plans this weekend and i can not wait!!!!
