Happy New Year!!!!!

We had a great New Years Eve Day and New Years Eve Night!!! But I am so mad at myself for not taking any pictures! :( New Years Eve Day was beautiful... the weather was wonderful! We headed over to the Franklin's and the Davis' property and hung out in the woods and had an AWESOME time!I know those of you who know me just dropped your jaw! I know the words me, woods, and awesome time don't go together! But it was really fun... all the kids enjoyed playing in the woods and riding their four wheelers. All the adults enjoyed sitting around the fire pit talking, eating, and roasting marsh mellows...we would all take turns following the kiddos around in the woods...it was just a nice relaxing day and the weather could not have been any nicer!
We left in time to shower and head back over to the Franklin's for our New Years Eve party and the annual who can spend the most money at the Fireworks stand and buy the biggest fireworks to shoot for all the kids! The Pennington's won for sure!!!He brought some huge fireworks and of course all the kids loved them! It was a great day and night! But I can say after a late night out the night before...we welcomed 2012 in our dreams!!!!

Happy New Year!!!

May your year be filled with lots of love, laughter and blessings!!!

Christmas Break

The week after Christmas I had to work most of the week since this is our busy time getting things all ready for our spring season so Daddy Day Care was in full force this week. When I would get off we would meet and try and do something fun as a family each night! And i managed to forget my camera the whole time so all i have it my trusty iphone pics... Tuesday night we went to iJump and they enjoyed riding the go carts, climbing the rock wall, and playing on all the jumpy things!!!

jackson was so proud of himself that he climbed all three sides of the rock wall and rang the bell!
Wednesday Night we went to eat at Long Horn compliments of Daddy's Class who hooked us up with a nice gift card and then went to Tree Top and played lots of video games with are gift cards from lane and missy (thanks again for the cards)...

i only seemed to get a picture of jackson man... he was pumped b.c he won 200 tickets on deal or no deal... and of course they love spending all their tickets on junk; i mean treasures... :)
Friday we went to see the new Alvin and Chipmucks movie and to eat at zoes... dave and i have a lot in common b.c jackson and alvin seem to have a lot in common too! :) and of course the 5th member of our family...
that has been everywhere with us since Christmas...
at least she behaves and it nice and quiet! :)
and friday night daddy and I got a DATE NIGHT!!!!!!
we had a great time having dinner and listen to the band with our baseball buddies...
but we realized we are getting old... ha!
we are not as young as we used to be...
we can't hang with the whippersnappers
but it sure was fun... spending time with each other
and people watching... wow! some people need to look in the mirror before they go out!
thanks gogo and grandaddy for keeping the kiddos!!!!
We had a great Christmas Holidays... spending time with each other and enjoying our laid back routine!!!!! I am pretty sad our staying up late and sleeping late days are over... i could get used to starting my day at 9 or 10! :)

Brylee got a vera bradley wrist let...

Christmas Day at GoGo and Grandaddy's

After everyone enjoyed what Santa brought and breakfast had settled we headed over to GoGo and Grandaddy's to open presents with them. We made the kids watch Richard and I open presents first and you have thought we told them they were never going to get to open their presents. Needless to say patience was not their strongest character trait that day... but they survived and then it was their turn.
Brylee got a new northface jacket!
Jackson opened up a pair of zig tennis shoes...
which might be the ugliest shoes on the plant...
but as you can tell he was beyond excited to get them...
We are in the process of redoing their rooms...
so they got some things for their rooms
brylee got a new bulletin board...
and jackson got a picture of the alabama locker room
and his name is on one of the jerseys...
then it was time for them to find their big presents...
they go on a scavenger hunt to find them...
they love this part... they even ask my mom if she had done a scavenger hunt for them...
brylee went first...
reading the clues...
which led her to her favorite present...
her American Girl doll....

then Jackson went... and he opened.... a brand new REAL baseball glove...

as you can see he is so excited...

then they opened their stockings and got kinds of stuff in them... they did them at the same time so i kind of missed most of the pictures from watching... and they opened some presents as well...

brylee was excited about her american girl high chair that connects to the tableand jackson loved his alabama basketball shorts more american girl clothes...

and the funnest present of all... as i said we are re doing their rooms... and we are adding some alabama stuff to jackson's room... well when we were in atlanta we went to ikea and got jackson a new khaki and red duvet cover and a pair of red curtains... well i told my mom to wrap them up and give them to him for christmas... well he opened them up and said "what are these" check out his face....

it was so funny... needless to say he really did not get them as a real present... they gave him money but it sure was funny when he opened them up. ha! :)

and of course brylee and kk played lots of american girl... the living room turned into a beauty salon and they were rolling her hair...

We had a great Christmas at GoGo and Grandaddy's and we all got lots of presents of course more than we needed!!!

Santa Came...

Santa Came to Town to see Jackson and Brylee...
Ready to see what Santa brought...
their first present was an empty box with a note that said go look outside...
and they found new scooters...
then it was on to the next presents... santa always likes to wrap things in bigger boxes... so they have to unwrap several presents... jackson found his XBOX 360!!!!!!!!!
brylee unwrapped an IPOD TOUCH.....onto unwrapping more presents...
jackson got another controller and game for his XBOX brylee got an i tunes card and peace sign i pod case...
onto more presents...
santa brought them both ihome docking stations for their room...
I guess Jackson and Brylee were on the nice list because Santa sure was good to them!
Then we gave them presents from mommy and daddy
and they gave each other a presents too....
brylee got a dry erase easel with stencils from jackson... more stuff to play school with!
and jackson got a ping pong set from brylee...
jackson got a cyber football set from us that makes the football look like it is on fire...
it comes with these cool glasses you wear when you throw it...we gave brylee la la loopsy crazy hair doll..then it was stocking time...
We had a great Christmas morning seeing what all Santa brought Jackson and Brylee. My parents always come over to see the kids open Santa presents. After we open Santa presents we all enjoy breakfast together at our house! This year I made breakfast casserole and french toast casserole! It was yummy yummy!

Christmas Eve

We got home from the lake about lunch time... just enough time to unload the car, get dressed and ready for Christmas Eve celebrating at Nonnie and Poppie Hopper's.
Our Annual Christmas Eve Photo Session...
(we all had... ok well I had... a moment of silence about their clothes...
this is the first time in 8 years no one in my house has worn smocked
on Christmas Eve... sad sad... my babies are growing up)
Our Annual Christmas Eve Family Photo
We went to Nonnie and Poppie's ate and opened presents...
Jackson was so excited about his new football video game
Brylee loved her Bitty Baby matching PJ set and of course her pearls...
I am sure mommy is more excited about her pearls at this point but Nonnie gives her pearls for her add a pearl necklace that she started for her when she was born... I know she doesn't care at this point but when she has a full set of pearls to wear the day she gets married she will care... it will be so beautiful! :)
Lee and Jami gave J and B lockerroom visors
one cool dude... and lane and missy gave them tree top cards... jack pot!!!!
After we opened presents we played the annual hunt the pickle game... this kids loved it... the adults hide the pickle in the room and the kids hunt for it and the winner gets money!!!

jackson was so excited when he found it...Then we left and came home and got ready for santa!

Christmas PJ time...

We went outside and sprinkled reindeer food so santa could find our house... We started a new tradition this year...
since Jackson has a big bed now...
we let Jax and Bry sleep together...
of course with all the elves...
...the children were all nestled snug in the beds...
Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!
