Sweet Summer Time....

we are lovin' us some sweet summer time... we do actually do some fun things besides play baseball but i have not had time to blog about them... so here goes my big ole summer fun brain dump!

1. The first full week of summer jackson and brylee went to XLR8 Camp at our church... this might be one of Jackson's favorite things every summer. He loves going to sports camp with all his buddies. Daddy helped with the camp so Brylee got to stay with her friends in the staff day camp! She had a great time as well! 2. The second week they both went to VBS at a local church. They both had a great time and knew TONS of people... i think half of our community came to that churches VBS. Brylee's leader was so kind to take pictures everyday for us! :)

3. Last week was the first week the kids have been "home" all summer. We enjoyed swimming, watching the free movie, and meeting GoGo for lunch! No pictures from that week... sad but true!

4. Brylee girl has been enjoying her some much needed lake time. We are all just a wee bit jealous but our time is coming. Granny and Pap Pap saved her two weekend from melting in the hot sun watching her dear ole brother play baseball. One weekend it was just her and she enjoyed swimming, riding the new tube they got for Christmas, and of course boat rides. She also went one weekend with her cousins and I know they had a a great time as well! We are all itching to get down there too!

5 Jackson went to visit some friends at the lake one Saturday evening with my parents after a game and he got to get a little lake time in that day too. He got to knee board and wake board... he was so excited that he was able to get up his second try. I only wish i had some pictures of that!

we are loving us some sweet summer time... my kiddos have been sleeping late and just enjoying the summer fun... i am working less this summer and actually have 2 days a week off and i am enjoying spending time with them and having some fun in the sun!

we will miss you....

last weekend we went to a surprise going away party for Kamilla {she is our friends ray and mandy's exchange student from norway who has been here since august} she leaves in less that a week to go back home! We are going to miss her so much... she is so sweet... they really lucked out and got a great girl! She says she wants to come back here and go to college... I sure hope she does! She kept Jackson and Brylee for a few hours Thursday for us and I am glad that got to spend some time with her before she goes back... especially Brylee! :)her cake made by the one and only phil cain... it was so good... we all wrote our names on a flower and put it around the cake... the house we had the party at had a pool.... most of the people there were the youth kids {and parents} but they were so nice to all the "little ones" that were swimming too... jackson loved rubbing elbows with the big boys! :)

bless her... sweet babyand i know we think we are going to miss here... i can't imagine how much ray and mandy are going to miss her... i know next week is going to be a tough week for them....

and this little guy too... anthony {ray and mandy's son} is going to miss his "sister" too! we love you kamilla and will miss you so much! :)

Chelsea Invitational All Star Tournament...

Last weekend we hosted an invitational at home...

our team played great all weekend...

they even held 2 teams no runs...taken it all in...

i know he gets so hot catching...

we played in the championship game sunday...

we played trussville's travel ball team...

they were really good....

we lost but i think a loss was good for our boys...

they needed a reminder that they have to play hard to win...

and that there are teams out there that are better than they are...

a little humbleness is good for everyone :)

they got medal for winning second place... after a long talk after the game they realized it was still a big deal to win second place... good job j-man!!!

Shelby County Invitational All Star Tournament

we are knee deep in baseball around here...

a few weeks ago we had our first tournament...

we played in the shelby county invitational tournament...

the first night they introduced the players...

jackson is playing catcher and he loves it....

he got this nickname b.c he is always talking to everyone...

we won first place in the tournament...

so excited for these boys to come out and take first...

Girl's Night Out at the Beach...

we were planning to head home early evening but when plans were made for a guys night and a girls night we of course had to stay... :) the girls went to dinner at Harry T's and then went shopping at the Harbor Walk... they guys went to eat and ride go carts....

We got to sit outside and watch the sunset at Harry T's and it was beautiful! all the girls... minus kamilla who was taking the picture

brylee sat by kamilla and the waiter kept thinking that brylee was kamilla's child and kept asking kamilla if brylee wanted more drink and about her food... it kept embarrassing kamilla... partly b.c kamilla thought our waiter was cute and b.c obviously she was not her child... ha... we all got a good laugh from that... brylee loves kamilla so much! :)brylee by the docks...brylee found her a new pet... ha! :)We had great night with the girls... we payed for it about 1:00am when we were still driving home... rp and i were so tired... but it was worth the memories and the two kids that slept the whole way home! :)

We had a great beach vacation and I can not wait to go back! A trip to the beach is just never long enough! :)

Last Day at the Beach...

our last day at the beach {always a sad day} we went to destin to spend the day with our friends the franklin's and the davis'... we had so much fun with them that day... it made leaving even harder... which is why we did not leave until 9:30pm and did not get home until almost 2:00am... more on that later...

brylee ABSOLUTELY LOVES Kamilla {ray and mandy's exchange student}... she is always the only girl with all the boys {jackson cole and anthony} but since Kamilla has been here brylee is not "boy trapped" as she calls it... never mind that there is a 12 year age difference... she is still brylee's "BFF" when we are with them... what are we going to do when she leaves... we are going to miss her so much! :( kamilla and brylee posing on the beach...this was kamilla's idea... if it had been my idea there is no way she would have done it... but kamilla... she was all about it! :)

it has been years since i have played or really even remembered these pool games... but the kids had a great time playing! we had a great time with the franklin's and the davis'... the kids were so glad to play with their buddies on the beach and at the pool! :)
