Thanksgiving Trip in the Mountains...

The Friday after Thanksgiving we headed up to the mountains in Tennessee to spend the weekend with Richard's Uncle and his family.

Richard's Uncle John has a very nice log cabin in the woods and he invited us, richard's parents, and his sister and her children to come and stay for the weekend.

His property is beautiful and the sunsets were breath taking... we sat on his wrap around pouch and watch the sun set.

He took on us some hikes around his property and shared so stories about the history of the land.

We also watched the Iron Bowl as well.... and since we are a house divided... one of us always wins... this year with was Jackson and Daddy! They get "bragging rights" for a year! We tried to take a few pictures but the wind was not really being our friend!

We had a great weekend and decided it was in our best interest to leave after the game and drive home that night and it was a smart idea the kids slept the whole way home and we missed driving in the rain the following day!

Thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving...I remember thinking I was so glad when baseball, cheerleading, and football ended because we were going to be home and "have so much time" on our hand and life was just going to slow down.... Bah ha ha ha ha!!!!!! Life is not going to slow down E.V.E.R. and my time for blogging is not going to increase either... so better late than never...Happy Thanksgiving!!!! We celebrated Thanksgiving with Richard's Family the Saturday before thanksgiving at the lake. For some reason Jack-Jack decided to let me take some pictures of him this day so i did! :)

Thanksgiving Day we ate Brunch at my parents house and then went to my Uncles house for thanksgiving dinner! I snapped a few pictures of the kiddos before we left! And I got totally hazed by my family for my children not wearing "turkey clothes" on Thanksgiving...my babies are growing up sniff, sniff! :)

We had a wonderful thanksgiving sending time with family and counting our many many blessings!

We have so much to be thankful for and so many blessings to count! *I am so thankful for my Jesus... He paid it all and all to him I owe! *I am thankful for my sweet hubby and my two beautiful children... life would be so boring without them! *I am thankful for my family especially my parents...they are always there with lots of love and support! *I am also thankful for my friends... I feel truly blessed to have the best friends a girl could ask for! Wishing you and yours a very happy thanksgiving!!!!

last weekend brylee had her state cheerleading competition at a local high school.... they ROCKED the house and did an amazing job... i was so proud of her and her squad!!!

I will say that when we signed up to be on the competition squad i really did not know all the life lessons brylee would learn just from being on a cheer squad with 15 other kindergarten and first graders. She learned perseverance, determination, hard work ethic, and the importance of being a team member just to name a few. These girls worked HARD! They practiced 3 to 4 times a week for 1.5 to 3 hours for 2 months and the weekend before the competition they practiced 3 and 4 hours a day... that is a lot of practice from some 5, 6, and 7 year olds. I saw these girls go from a quiet, noodle armed, non-rhythmic group of girls to an awesome LOUD, sharp motioned, "together" group of cheerleaders! And i will say all their hard work paid off!!!! They brought home the GOLD!!!!!!

All the cheer groups lined up ready to compete.... can we say intimidating??? this gym was PACKED with 100's of fans... LOUD fans...LOUD music and these girl walked out on that mat and cheered their little hearts out like there were only 10 of their closest friends and family watching!!!!

after this is was all a blurr... we all stormed the mat to celebrate with our girls... when i found brylee... this was the grin on her face... and she said " WE WON, WE WON, WE WON FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!"

after they won we all went out to the tent we had set up for them and had a cupcake party.... they were so excited and we were so proud of them!!!!!
