The New Year has started off a little sad in the Powers household and we morn the loss of Richard's uncle Johnny. As Richard said, "heaven got a little more crowded on
December 29, 2009 when Uncle Johnny went to be with Jesus". Today he was laid to rest with a service attended by many family members and friends.
After we all indulged in a good ole country
cookin' baptist church feast (there is nothing like fried chicken and chicken and
dumplins from a country baptist church lady) the Powers cousins all got together for a group pictures.

Always good to get together with family but we all wish it was under different circumstances.
