favorite things from the weekend...

"These are a few of my favorite things... from this weekend... more kelly's kids shopping... i think this pretty much covers my wish list from the catalog... :) I am lovin all the cute skirts and dresses that are out in all the stores but I am NOT loving the weather... it is so hard to get excited about spring clothes when it is cold outside and I have zero tan... sigh... but if i don't buy the stuff i like now it will be gone when it is time to wear it.... So i am thinking this white skirt ( i know hard to see in the pic) will look so cute with a tank, blue jean jacket, and my cowboy boots! I can't wait... come on Easter so I can wear white below the waist (is that still a "rule"?) and warmish weather might help as well! Moving on to my next new "obsession"... Have you had this? It is not new... just to me! Last weekend at our sunday school social it was FREEZING in the room so we made coffee and i AM NOT a coffee drinker... cappuccino from Starbucks I am in but NOT coffee... but I was FREEZING so i went and got some and thought I would a least hold it to keep warm... long story short... I was given some of this and 2 splendas to put in my coffee and OMG!!! it was SO good! So good that I drank some the next day at church and today too. To tell you what a coffee drinker I am NOT I had to ask where you buy the creamer at... duaaah the grocery store... really? Bought some today! Tonight I told hubs I was going to stop and get a cup of plain coffee at the gas station and bring it home so I could us my "new stuff"... uhh honey we have a coffee pot (we do?), and coffee (we do?) at home... yeah well I don't know how to make it... thankfully he did... and I enjoyed me a big ole cup of coffee at 8:00PM (yeah which is probably why I am still up)... I can't wait to stop at the gas station and get me some coffee in the morning and drink it again... I am excited to officially be a coffee drinker... I ask hubs where this has been all my life... he laughed... apparently they have other flavors too and he makes coffee every morning at school and enjoys those other flavors... who knew? So... I HIGHLY recommend you go out and get some Chocolate Toffee Coffee Mate ASAP!!! This little guy... yeah he is one of my favorites too... showing off his big ole stack of pancakes he cooked for us this morning before church... he loves pouring the batter on the griddle and knows just when to flip them... "when they get bubbley mommy"... can't take credit... all his daddy's teachings! Last but certainly not least... this is a favorite b.c it means we are "almost" done with all the messy stuff in our basement... (insert singing of the Hallelujah chorus)... last closet built... and one last sand... b.c i am so ready for my floors upstairs to NOT look like this....REALLLY!!!! and yes I have cleaned these several times during the process and it does NO good! Rumor has it that we are getting lights (on switches as opposed to extension cord spot lights) and wired plugs this week... yeah! Baseball season is quickly approaching which means our time for the basement is going to be limited... however I LOVE to paint so I can handle the next part! :) Wishing you all a wonderful week and drink some coffee for me! :)
