Got to get a Varsity hat when you walk in...
and ice cream for dessert
and a photo outside for mommy!
After we left lunch we went to a place I have read about on many blogs but have never been to and really did not know anything about it and really unsure what to expect.... IKEA (i-key-uh)
This place was WAY cool. It is a HUGE furniture, housewares, everything, store. The prices are very reasonable and everything it new. Another cool thing about the store is they have a kiddie play area that you can check your kids in and let them play for an hour while you shop. Our kids loved it... they did not want to leave when their time was up. There favorite part was the HUGE ball pit.
We bought Jackson a super cute red night stand for his room for $7.99... we also found an very nice large wall unit entertainment center book shelf thingy we want for downstairs for $250. Their furniture was very nice very "pottery barnish", couches we about $300... they had whole rooms (furniture, lamps, tables, etc) you could get for $1000. The place was HUGE... so needless to say our hour was flying by and we were walking rather fast just to "see" it all... not really even shop just to look. We could have spent hours in the place... we are planning to go back soon (without the kids) to shop some more. My mom can't wait to go... i told her that place was right up her ally she loved places like that! If you have never been you should make it a point to go... especially if you are in the need for any furniture.
After IKEA we checked in the hotel and let the kids swim... they are all about an indoor pool! That night we went to Dave and Buster's another favorite for our family. It is a huge arcade, chucky cheese type place but better and more fun for the adults! The kids had a ball playing all the games and winning lots of tickets so they could get more "junk"!
After all the fun of the day we headed back to the hotel to settle in and get some rest before we headed to Six Flags the next day!
