Chelsea Invitational All Star Tournament

Last week was jackson's first all star tournament... it was an invitational tournament which is another way of saying "practice tournament"... your park "invites" local teams to play and it doesn't really count as far as whether you advance to another tournament or not... but it is good practice for the boys! I missed the first two games b.c we were still at the beach but we made it back for the other games. We played 2 games thursday night, one friday night, and one saturday afternoon and we won all those game. We only gave up a total 6 points in all 4 games... which is HUGE at this age... well any age really. Then we had to play calera one last time for the championship on sunday and we lost a heart breaker to them sunday and it was not double illumination so that was it... we "lost" the tournament. It was tough b.c we had bet them so bad thursday night and they "spanked" us sunday... we just did not play well! :( But you know sometimes loss is good and i think our boys needed a loss to whip them in shape and realize it is not all easy and you have to take every game serious and play your hardest every game even if you have been the "stud team" of the tournament... it was a tough love lesson for them!

We did not have our real uniforms yet so we wore these "practice" shirts... they were NASTY by the time sunday came to say the least...
