baseball state tournament; 4th of july...

well baseball has {finally} come to an end... it is bitter sweet i will say... i am not going to miss the long practices every night, being at the ball park all weekend for last 5 weekends, melting in the hot sun, or the ball park food... but i will miss watching my little man and his team play ball, the parents who have become like family this last month, and of course watching them WIN!
We started the State Tournament Saturday morning and played a game everyday until last night. It was a tough loss... we lost to a team that we have played and beat about 4 times before... that stinks... but our boys fought hard but sometimes you just can't pull out a win! It did not help that we got to the park at 5:00 and were in a rain delay for several hours and did not start playing until about 10:30 last night... bless those boys heart it was so late but they played hard like it was no big deal!
My baby girl came to watch the first game and then she went to the lake with Granny and Pap Pap and stayed all weekend having a good ole time playing with her cousins... she did not come home until about 5:30 last night... i missed her and i am glad she is back... she is one tired little girl! as a matter of fact she fell asleep in my arms shortly after the game started and slept through the whole game... cheering and all... God love her!
We played a game on July 4th and then came to our house and cooked out and then went to watch the fireworks... someone told me a place closer to our house that was "good" to watch the fireworks so we went there and you could "SEE" the fireworks but that was it... it was not worth staying close to home to see them... we ended up leaving before they were over b.c Jackson said "you can't even hear the boom and that is the best part" :) Thankfully we had watch fireworks the night before that were good! We missed our baby girl!

After the game last night our team got medals... we placed 5th in the state which is nothing to be ashamed of... our boys have a lot to be proud of... they worked hard...Fence Rattlaz!!!!! Jackson man... aka da governor... we are so proud of you... you played hard, gave great effort, cheered your teammates on... you are always the first to say a kind word to a teammate who made an error and you play with the highest amount of class and sportsmanship... nothing makes your mommy's heart swell up more than when you go up to the other team that beat you and tell them what a great game they played and good luck... jackson we are proud to call you are little ball player.... i can't wait to see the plans God has for you both on and off the field! today is our first {official} day of summer... we have big plans this weekend and i can not wait!!!!
