December 24, 2012: Christmas Eve

{Christmas Eve}
We did not have anything to do Christmas Eve Day which was a nice welcomed break. Santa and Mrs. Claus were busy putting together a big toy in the pouring down rain until the wee hours of the morning the night before. They really should get Santa and Mrs. Claus of the year! Good thing the kiddos were tired from all the fun at the lake because they slept late! Santa and Mrs. Claus welcomed the extra sleep too! We hung out in our PJs, ran a few errands, ate lunch out, and made Santa some Christmas cookies. Then we all got dressed and headed to Nonnie and Poppie's to celebrate.

Our annual Christmas Eve Family Picture!
 I usually like for everyone to get "dress up" on Christmas Eve but the older the kiddos get the harder that is and the more they want to be casual. So we went casual this year! :)
 Ready for the Christmas fun!

Nonnie and Poppie made Jackson's Christmas dream come true. They gave him an autographed Nick S@ban football... it even said to: Jackson. It did not get the initial reaction I think we all hoped for because he could not read cursive and did not know what it said. Once we told him what it said he was in shock. Then he came too and was so excited. He was so funny putting it in a special place in the car for the ride home. He also said he was going to sleep with it! He loved it!
 Brylee got an AG outfit and a pearl for her necklace!
She loved her outfit and one day she will love her pearls right now mommy is the one who loves those!
 After everyone eats and opens presents we play "Hide the Pickle" game. The adults hide the pickle for the kids and the first one to find it wins money! Jackson was so excited when he found it!
 Brylee found it too!
 We had a great time at Nonnie and Poppie's Christmas Eve! Then it was time to head home b.c it was getting late and we needed to get to sleep so Santa could come!

Brylee and Jackson all dressed in their Christmas jammies ready for bed!!!
