Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday began bright and early with two eager little kiddos excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought! 

Brylee is OBSESSED with chevron at the moment and the Easter Bunny must have gotten word of that b.c he found a chevron bathing suit, shirts, and socks... she was so excited! 

 Jackson got all kinds of sports things to play with outside. 

 Then it was time for everyone to get all dressed up and head off to church! 

It was a rainy yucky Easter so we had to take pictures before church fast under our front porch! 

GoGo and Grandaddy & Nannie & KK all joined us for church too! After church it was not raining so we tried to get some quick pictures of everyone but that did not go so well... can we say bright sun and half closed eyes! 

And this might be the worst family picture ever... I have this major dorky look on my face... between trying to tell the photographer how to work the camera and take the picture, the sun, and getting everyone to stand there and be still did not work out so well... oh well!

 After church we went to RP's aunt and uncles house for lunch and a quick egg hunt in the sprinkles. 

 Then we went to GoGo and Grandaddy's for dinner, Easter surprises and more egg hunts!

Despite the not so pretty weather and the rainy Easter Egg hunts we had a wonderful Easter! Thank goodness Easter is so much more than pretty Easter dresses & handsome suits, perfect or imperfect family pictures, Easter treats and egg hunts. I am so thankful those things do not define Easter. I am so thankful for Heavenly Father who gave his only son to die on the cross for my sins and rose again for sinners like you and me; that is what defines a wonderful Easter! Praise the Lord!
