We had our "toes in the water; toes in the sand"!!!

We celebrated Labor Day weekend with one last beach trip to Gulf Shores! We had a great time and the weather was beautiful 3 out of 4 days but you have to have one rain day so you can hit the outlets right?
We did a whole lot of....
swimming...
and floating...
We went and played putt putt one night... brylee "got a hole in one" every hole... funny how that happens when you put the ball about 6 inches from the hole and scoop it in every time!
But this little guy really tired and he really did get a hole in one on.... number 9!
regardless of how they played... they had a great time!
We looked for crabs at night... and this little one LOVED searching for crabs
and picking up sea shells!
We floated in the ocean... and jackson's "mind" would
hurt after he would ride the waves in his boat! LOL
We played in the sand and built sand castles....
check out our master piece...
and this master piece too...
we had a BLAST riding the waves in on the buggie board...
over and over and over again...
we went to dinner and ate some yummy meals...
and played in the sand even at dinner...
and managed to get the whole crew in a family picture...
and we celebrated 75 precious years of this sweet Nannie's life...
and last but not least what is a trip to the beach without a visit to The Trak...
brylee and daddy are off....
and this little guy is a man after his grandaddy's own heart...
he loves to ride go carts... he would give us a number 1 sign
as he went flying by every time!
and he loves the go carts he can drive by himself... grandaddy told
him number 3 was the fastest car and it was he was the leader of
the pack the whole time... cutting anyone off who tried to pass...
and brylee loved all the kiddie rides...
and he was finally tall enough to ride the bigger go carts by himself
he was so excited... he has been waiting a long time
to ride those...
We had a great time with family at the beach however I don't think we will be going back to the beach on Labor Day again.... it look us 2.5 hours to get from the T in gulf shores to the interstate which equaled 7 hours to get home (with only one 30 min stop at Peach Park). Thank goodness the kids slept most of the way home! For that matter I think we have all turned into "beach brats" and got spoiled when went to Destin and I think that will be our beach of choice from here on out! :) Hope you all had a happy, fun, and safe Labor Day!
