shelly's summary: Jackson's Race Car Birthday Party!

Sunday was Jackson's Birthday... it is tradition to sing happy birthday at breakfast complete with a candle in breakfast food on the birthday plate. Here is our birthday boy with his bed head and all with his birthday breakfast!

That afternoon he "talked" GoGo and Grandaddy into giving his birthday present before his party. So they gave him a computer desk for his room and a DSi... which he has been wanting. He was so excited to be able to take pictures with his DSi and play games too. It does other things too but I don't really know all about it like he does?

Mrs. Cathy came by before the party to give him his present as well b.c she had another commitment... they gave him a DSi nerf case and a kasey kane flag and car. He is a big Kasey Kane/ Nascar fan (don't ask me why b/c richard and i certainly are not... not sure where he gets the "race car fan gene")

Tonight we had a BBQ cookout with our family for his birthday. I did not get many pictures... i think i was being "hostess with the mostess" ha... or something but here are the few i got. Nonnie and Poppie gave him the coolest present... a razor 360... look it up on utube... it is way cool and he loves riding it...

KK gave him the movie... the blind side... i know it is rated pg-13 and actually an "adult movie" but he loves it... it is probably one of his favorite movies... thankfully he doesn't "understand" the "bad" parts... he really just likes the football part... and little SJ and Jackson have lots in common... i could so see jackson asking the football coaches "well... whats in it for me"... :)

lee, jami, morgan and avery gave him some super cool columbia shorts and a guy harvey t-shirt... clothes "just like uncle lee"... he loves them and will be sporting them to school tomorrow... i know he is going to look so cute!

Granny and Pap Pap gave him his "started collector set" of baseball and football cards. He wants to start collecting them so know he is ready with the binder, pages, and lots of cards... he had to open every package, look at them, and put them in the binder before bed... :)

Then we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake and ice cream... he picked out his cake... full blow "racing cake" from wally world... with kasey kane in the lead...
