{A Wonderful Weekend at the Lake}

 We took full advantage of not having a baseball game saturday and headed to the lake. It was just what we all needed. We had a great time and it was a wonderful change of pace and relaxing for mama too! My crazy kiddos acted like it was July 4th and 100 degrees outside! They jumped in the lake and swam in the FREEZING cold water and acted like it was no big deal!!!!

 They even rode the tube ALL OVER THAT LAKE!!!!

and as you can see they had THE.TIME.OF.THEIR.LIFE!!!!!!

I am so glad we got to enjoy a nice weekend at the lake we needed some fun in the sun!!!! 

p.s..... just so you know... sunscreen in april is probably a good idea... even when it is breezy and the water feel like 32 degrees...you should still apply sunscreen... several times might not be a bad idea... and you might want to get some new sunscreen too... because if you don't.... you could come back looking like a lobster... and your poor children could too.... mom.of.the.year!!!!! :)

 {A Little Procedure)

Today I had to get up at sunrise and head downtown to have a little dermatology procedure done on my arm! How pretty is that sunrise??? However I am glad I don't get up this early every morning! 

Here is a picture of my arm... it was really no big deal once it was over but they acted like they were cutting my arm off... Sure I have a few stitches and several band aids but it was really no big deal. They told me I got patient of the year bc I did not even flinch when they gave me the shots to dead in the area... the nurse said I have grown men who flinch and tear up when I do this to them... Ha! (I said that's why men don't have babies :)) ... they also offered me lor-a-tab when I left... seriously people??? I did not even take those when I had a baby... but I am not a pain meds person they make me feel worse. My mom would say my dad and  I have a stubborn high pain tolerance..and apparently Brylee does too! :) 

Tonight I can tell it is "waking up" and it stings a little but other than that its been totally fine. Thankfully it is my left arm since I am not suppose to use it for a few days... which is harder than I thought... to be right handed I sure do use my left hand/arm more than I thought! I am hoping I can sleep good tonight and tomorrow it is not too sore! :) Wish me luck!!!!

{Jackson gets contacts!!!!}

After only having glasses for 2 months; we were already replacing Jackson's glasses because he broke them. It was also our one time a year replacement pair. So I knew that was not a good combination so I ask our eye dr if he could get contacts. Thank goodness for an eye doctor that has known our family for years and one who has a son who is as active in sports like Jackson. He agreed to let him try them out earlier than most eye doctors will... some of them say 12 years old is the magic number! When we went to get them our eye dr. put them in the first time, then Jackson had to take them both out, put them back in, and then take them out again by himself! Dr. Hayes was so patient with Jackson and helped him learn how to put them and take them out! He was able to take them out both times and put them back in as well. He is to only wear them after school until bed time for the next two days and on Thursday he can wear them all day! He is doing really well with them so far... I hope he keeps it up! It does help that I wear contacts and know how to help him too! Like I told Robbie I can throw contacts away daily and still not spend the money I would on replacing glasses every 2 months or paying almost $500 for sports glasses. Just when I got use to him in glasses now I have to get used to him without them again! I am so glad for him that they seem to be working great especially for sports reasons. He told me today I forget they are even in my eyes! :)

{My Hubby the Handy-Man}

Shout out to the Hubby!!! Our refrigerator is fixed!!! I was most impressed with him... he watched a u tube video to see if he could figure out what was wrong with the fridge and he did... it was some part that had to do with the compressor kicking on... so he ordered the part... then he watched another u tube video about to how to install the part... and it worked!!! So for only $45 he fixed our refrigerator!!! Yippee!!!!

{Cleaning Day}

Today was clean up the house day... sounds like fun right! Actually, I had the whole house to myself b.c daddy and brylee went to sell ice cream and jackson went to "play at GoGo and Grandaddys" so I actually got to clean up the house and it stay clean and did not have little ones messing things up as fast I could clean them! :) 

Have ya'll tried these cleaning products pictured above? The first three are from the dollar tree... glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and furniture polish all in a wipe container thingy... they smell good and work great! The last one is my absolute favorite... i am obsessed with it for cleaning the kitchen...it's Mrs. Mey-ers Counter top Spray in lavender (i have used the basel one too)... it is the BEST STUFF and it smells soooo good even in the next morning!!!

All these are my go to cleaning products that help me keep things clean in between the maid visits!

{Saturday at the Ball Park}

You would think that we would get enough time at the ball park just watching Jackson play ball... but oh no we love that place way to much! Saturday we did not have a game until 6... most families would be excited that they had the whole day to themselves and not have to be at the ball park until the end of the day... but no our family! It was like we did not know what to do... so we decided to do what any other baseball family would do we went to the ball park... to watch Katie (our niece) play t-ball and Zac (our nephew) play 5/6 coach pitch! And of course we had great fun! Where else can you go where your kids are going to have all their friends in one place and the parents have all their friends in one place too. You rotate from field to field talking to all your friends and the kids run around with all their friends. If I did not have to shell out tons of cash at the concession stand it would be cheap entertainment! Ha! :) But it is fun entertainment nonetheless!

{Butterfly for Brylee}

Today Brylee went to the Ortho and had her butterfly mouth expander thingy put in the roof of her mouth... we get the  "privilege" of cranking this butterfly every night to expand her mouth basically... i am sure it will be great fun... thankfully she was a trooper!

{Defeat and Disappointment}

JP's team made it to the first round playoffs. Sadly enough #1 had to play #4 (that was our team) and it was not pretty! Our team just did not "show up" to play baseball and we lost 14 to 0! ZERO!!!!! :( I felt bad for our boys (and my hubby too)! This was JP after the game I know he felt defeated and disappointed! But unfortunately; that's life; you can't always win and sure it's hard to learn that lesson at 8 years old and as a mom my heart breaks for him and his team. But I think the most important lesson I can teach him is that you come back out next time and play even harder! You never give up! Sure it's ok to feel disappointed but hopefully he will remember what that felt like and next time he will play even harder!

{Happy Birthday to Me!!}

Today was my birthday and my sweet hubby can speak my love language in a big ole way! My kiddos made me breakfast in bed (after letting me sleep late)! Then I got the day to myself (with no kiddos) and then I came home to a clean house, homemade lasagna, a DQ ice cream cake (which is actually all I ask for... its the small things in life when you have been on a diet), and flowers! I enjoyed the day shopping with my mom, eating lunch, dropping by a baby shower of a friend, and shopping some more... I hit all my favorite store and got me some new spring/summer clothes yippee!!!

{Celebrating 34}

tonight we went to dinner at superior grill to celebrate my birthday with my parents... with ball and travel plans we celebrated it a few days early! then my parents took the kiddos home with them to spend the night and richard and I met some of our baseball team parents for a "parents team party" at the red shamrock in mt laurel! what a fun group of baseball moms... we had a great time. I am thankfully for times like this to just kick back relax and just enjoy the evening with friends. We needed this... life has just been busy!

First it was Brylee and her appendix saga, then the dryer went out, and now the refrigerator. Like the old saying goes bad news comes in 3's... thankfully i think we have our 3 done. Let's just hope appliances breaking doesn't come in 3's too! :) The joys of being an adult!

After all the picture taking was over we headed to richard's aunt and uncles house to eat lunch and have the powers annual egg hunt! Then we went to my parents house for dinner!!! We were stuffed after eating all that yummy food at lunch and dinner! The kiddos also got to open their easter prizes from GoGo and Grandaddy! We had a wonderful Easter and we hope you did too!

What a blessing to spend the day with family celebrating our resurrected savior!
