{Liberty Day Fireworks}

Hello... long time no blog?!?! We finally have working internet again! I am not really sure what happened... some part went bad... it never makes since to me?!?!?! But the good news is that is finally works again and I have LOTS of blogging to catch up on!!! Look out your reader is about to be full! :)

{Spend the Night Parties}

Two ball park sister planning a spend the night party the whole season! Friday night was finally the night that Brylee would get to spend the night with Riley G. (one of the baby brothers on the team calls them "this riley" and "that riley" ha :) bless his heart he just can't keep it straight!). However, Brylee did not make it through her spend the night party! She called me about 11:00 and said she could not go to sleep without me so she came home! God love her; it drives Richard crazy! I told him she won't go to collage sleeping on the floor in our bedroom or coming home from spend the night parties! :)

Since B had spend the night plans... big brother had to have some too! So Jackson had Ashton come home with him after ball practice and spend the night! After practice we took them to the Liberty Day festival and let them ride some carnival rides and get a snow cone in a baseball hat!

{Fresh Veggies}

We have a local family that has a garden and sells fresh veggies from their garden. Each week they post on facebook what they have in their fresh veggie baskets and then you can buy their baskets for $10. This week they had new potatoes, purple hull peas, corn, and okra. I knew we had to have us one of those baskets!

Now let me say cooking dinner at our house doesn't happen all that often... we do a whole of eating out 

at our house! So cooking fresh veggies from a garden pretty much never happens! I will say I thought they peas would come already pilled so that was a first for us... I am glad I had a little helper!

we had shake and bake pork chops, corn on the cob (by the way did you know you can cook corn on the cob in the shuck in the microwave and the shuck and silks just come off so easily), parmesan cheese oven  baked new potatoes, and fried okra. (only thing we were missing was corn bread... but I ran out of oven space and time) :)

 {The Lake Lately and Water Fun}

We had 2 days off from baseball... I know shocker!?!?!?! However, it was like we did not know what to do!?!?! Most people would probably be so excited to stay home... not us! We don't stay home... I don't think we know how to! So we headed to the lake Tuesday afternoon and come home Wednesday evening. It was a quick but fun trip! During the week is the best time to go to the lake...no one is there... we had the whole lake to ourselves... it was great! 

And we got smart this trip... we figured out how to let jackson ski and brylee tube at the same time... holler!!!! This means no one is in the boat whining or asking when it was their turn! :) Don't worry we told jackson he could not go across in front of brylee on the tube.. he would only go our side the wake on his right side!!!! 

We came home Wednesday night because they were having splash night at church and the jax and bry were so excited they could not wait!!!! They had a big water slide and lots of squirt guns too! Fun Times!!!!

{BMX Track}

Daddy took Jackson and Brylee to the BMX track at Oak Mt State Park. He said they had a great time riding. He also said Brylee was the best rider out of the two. He said they would race and Brylee would beat Jackson almost every time! We will have to go back and ride again!

{Red Neck Pool}

Oh yes we did! 

We went red neck and set us up a $10.99 kiddie pool from fred's on our driveway! :) 

Most of the time we go to the pool and swim but some days it is just too much of a hassle and Jackson is not exactly suppose to be swimming all that much during baseball so this was our resolution! The kids have enjoyed it... they can't necessarily dive in but when it is so HOT outside it is nice to get in and cool off! :)

{GA Camp Day 2}

After a long night of very little sleep; we had to be up and ready for breakfast at 7:30am. We then had a devotion with our girls and then went to morning worship. After that we did a few group activities. Our first activity was 4 stations that taught the girls about Haiti (which was their missionaries country) and then we went SWIMMING!!!! That was what Brylee had been looking forward to the whole time! (b.c we don't ever do that) :)

After this Brylee and I left camp. Jackson was playing the area baseball tournament down the road from the camp and I had already missed one game and I really did not want to miss another one. I was good and left the decision up to Brylee if she wanted to stay I would have stayed but I was so so so GLAD when she said we could leave after swimming! She did not miss that much! 

I am so glad we went we had a good time but lets face it sister is not really the camping type. She was HOT and TIRED and THIRSTY and HUNGRY (b.c she did not like their food) and there was ALOT of WALKING... you know just like any camp experience... your cabin is at one end of the camp and everything else is at the other! :)

{Mom & Daughter GA Camp Bound}

We left for GA (Girls in Action); which is the missions class I taught at church on Wednesday night to the first grade girls. We went to Mother Daughter camp. Of course, we could not start our adventure without a trip by snow shack to get us some shaved ice before we left! :)

We arrived at the camp, found our cabin, and made up our bunks! Needless to say, it has been a long time since I have been to camp and slept in bunk beds! Sister was on the top and I was on the bottom... well that was how it was suppose to go down! However, at 1:00 am when sister woke up and said she could not go to sleep on the top bunk by herself and the light coming in the window from outside was bothering her she ended up on the bottom bunk with me! As you can image both of us crammed on the bottom twin bunk was not the best sleeping. I am not really a morning person but I was so glad when I looked at my phone at it was 6AM I was more than willing to get up and get in the shower.

The sleeping was probably the roughest part. In our room there were 6 sets of bunk beds so that mean 6 moms and 6 girls! That is a lot of people to get to sleep and stay asleep at the same time with no TV, no sound machine, some people like light and some don't. There was lots of noise and one of the moms was on her ipad almost all night long so that lit up the room on that side and someone snored. Like I said sleeping was rough! I was glad we only had to sleep one night! :)

We enjoyed our time with these sweet girls and their moms. It really was a fun experience and I do look forward to doing it again with Brylee and hopefully one day she will go to camp there for a week when she is older. I know I loved my time at Camp Briarwood and I hope both of mine can experience overnight camp one day too!

{Pool Fun}

I am off on Thursdays so we usually all head to the pool for the day. The kids were having fun jumping and flipping off daddy's shoulders. Then Jackson, Brylee and Daddy started a game of monkey in the middle which for Jackson and Brylee quickly turned into a dunking game. Sister was giving it all she had to dunk that brother!

{Bike Riding Babe}

Brylee loves to ride her bike. Before we had an ice cream trunk in our driveway and she had more space to ride she would ride it all the time... but now there is just not much room! :( We live on a main road and our driveway is a hill so needless to say we don't have the best place to ride. My parent live on a quiet circle with lots of room to ride so we look their bikes over there and they had the best time riding them. Sister loved riding her bike!

{District Champs!!!!!}

Tonight the Chelsea Hit Men came home with the first place trophy by beating Vincent in the championship game by one point!!!! So proud of our boys!!!!!

 Jackson Man also brought home a pretty important prize tonight... not only did his team get a first place trophy to take back to the park and a first place metal to bring home but he also got the game ball! Which really is a big deal... Coach Gongwer doesn't give game balls out... his philosophy is that baseball is a team sport... you play as a team and win or loose as a team. It is not an individual sport!!!! Anyway, so tonight he called jackson up and gave him the game ball for being a good sport and pumping up his team when they were down. We made some errors and he did his job in the circle as "quarterback of the team" and cheered his team up. He also got 2 of the 3 outs in one inning to put the "life" back in our team when we were feeling defeated!!!! Needless to say, I am one proud mama!!!!  

Now we are off to Area!!!!!!

Let's bring home the GOLD again Hitmen!!!!!

{XLR8 Camp Rules}

Jackson and Brylee had a great week at XLR8 church camp this week. Friday they had a closing ceremony for all the parents to attend. We got to see the cheers and dances the girls learned this week. We also got to see them sing songs and get awards! Jackson got Mr. Energetic and Brylee got Miss Inquisitive... am I surprised at either of these??? NO!!! ha! :) I am so thankful for a church with a children's director and team that is all about sharing the gospel with little people!!!

{XLR8 Camp}

This week Jackson and Brylee are going to XCL8 day camp at our church! They look forward to this camp every year! They get to choose 2 activities and then they do lots of group games and bible lessons too! Jackson chose flag football and kitchen chaos and Brylee is doing cheerleading and painting! They are having a great time!!!

{Show me the Money!!!!}

Jackson's all star team was selling t-shirts and I was helping sell the shirts and collect the money. Well, to make a long story short... I lost the money bag that had almost $100 cash in it and checks as well. I could not figure out what I did with it... actually I thought I left it at the ball park and needless to say it was gone! I looked for over a week and could not find it... so I had to do the only thing I knew to do... ask the people to re write their checks (which by the way people are a little picky about their checking accounts I was actually surprise... I would not have cared if someone lost a check of mine made out to cyc but apparently some people are way more OCD about their checking account than I am... sorry beside the point) and pay the cash I had lost... which was no fun at all but it was my mistake and a lesson learned! I pretty much just put it to rest after I replaced the money! One night of no sleep and having it consume my every thought for a whole week was more than I could handle! I was even dreaming about finding it in random places and I would wake up and go look there and of course it would not be there.

My mom has bible study on monday nights and they prayed last monday night that I would find the money bag... but I did not! So this Monday night I am cleaning up Brylee's room (that her daddy lets her destroy during "Daddy Daycare" and not clean up) and I was so annoyed while doing it. I picked up a white binder out of haste and low and behold out flies across the room my red money bag. At first I did not even think anything about it and then I all of a sudden I was like OMG there is that money bag... I unzipped it and there was all the checks and cash I thought I had lost! I was so excited!!!!!!!

My mom (who was at bible study) had just sent me a text asking about the weather so I sent her a text back and told her I had FOUND THE RED MONEY BAG!!!! She immediately called me and put me on speaker phone so her whole Bible study girls could hear my story and Cathy told me she had just prayed for me to find it 15 MINUTES before I found it!!!! Can you believe that???

All I could say was GOD REALLY DOES CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS IN MY LIFE!!!!!! I could not thank God enough!!!! I know $100 is not like loosing $1000 but still paying $100 for basically nothing was just annoying!!!

God is Good!!!!!

{Girls Day Out}

Brylee girl has been such a trooper lately with all this baseball playing Jackson has had going on so we decided she was in need of a much needed Girls Day Out!!! Mommy, Brylee, GoGo, and KK all went to eat lunch at one of her favorite places, then went shopping, and then went to go see the movie Mirror, Mirror (which was a little scary)! I think she enjoyed her day out with just the girls!!!!!

{Chelsea Invitational Champs}

Saturday we played more baseball... I know you are shocked right??? We were suppose to only play one game but due to all the rain that was predicted on Sunday we went ahead and finished the tournament on Saturday... so that mean our boys played 3 games on Saturday. Actually they played FIVE games in 24 hrs... insane... but honestly I think they would have played again and again! They are some baseball lovin' guys!!! We played the other Chelsea team twice and once was the championship game... it is tough to play against your friends!!! But in the end Chelsea came out on on top!!!! Good Job Chelsea Hit Men!!!!!

{Chelsea Invitational}

Tonight we started our second invitational tournament and thankfully this week it is at home! :) I could not pick my favorite picture from this game... I got some really good actions shots! :)

{Road Block...}

Today we had a road block (for those that don't know... a road block is where you stand at an intersection and collect spare change and even dollar bills from traffic when they stop at the red light) to raise money for our all star team that is going to the world series this summer!

These guys did a great job... we've got some pretty good salesmen on our team! They were not taking no for an answer and looking pretty pitiful as the traffic stopped! :)

These guys raised $650 dollars in 2 hours.... i think that is pretty awesome!!!!

I am always amazed at how generous some people could be... we got several $20 bills from sweet people wishing these boys good luck! One teenager even gave them $20 and told them he remembered playing all stars and how much fun he had. He told them to go win it all! How Sweet!
